Most rigid heddle looms don't expand into multi-shaft weaving. The Flex does this and more! Start with rigid heddle weaving and convert to a 4-shaft or 8-shaft loom anytime using optional upgrade kits (available May 2025). You can even convert back to rigid heddle mode for lightweight, on-the-go weaving.

Break Creative Boundaries with the Vari-Dent Reed
The Flex comes standard with a modular 7.5 dpi (30/10) reed, made up of snap-in segments. The real game changer? You can mix and match segments in different densities to customize your warp for any project (sold separately):
- 10/10 (2.5 dpi)
- 20/10 (5 dpi)
- 30/10 (7.5 dpi)
- 40/10 (10 dpi)
- 50/10 (12.5 dpi)
- 60/10 (15 dpi)
Each additional segment is 2 cm (¾") wide and sold in packs of 5.
Combine fine and bulky yarns, experiment with dense and open textures, and achieve effects you can’t get with a traditional fixed reed.

• 20" (50 cm) loom: 25 segments
