The Harp Forte Rigid Heddle Loom is available in warping widths of 8, 16, 24 and 32 inches.

Two of the more prominent features of the Harp Forte are the improved, innovative metal ratchet and pawl mechanisms, featuring rare earth magnets that grant durable project tensioning and the side-lock latches that allow for convenient portability of your Harp Forte (even mid-project!!).

A built-in warping board is located on the back of the loom and a direct warping peg and clamp is included, as well, giving the weaver the choice of warping method without having to invest in additional equipment.

Delivery time

Kromski spinning wheels, looms & fiber preparation tools typically ship in 1-3 business days, unless otherwise noted.

The Harp Forte comes with table clamps or can easily be converted to a free-standing loom by mounting it to a stand (sold separately). When you decide to invest in this beautiful rigid heddle loom, you will receive everything you need to begin weaving in one package!! Along with the items already mentioned, a standard 8dpi heddle, 2 stick shuttles, one pickup stick, pegs for the built-in warping board and a threading hook are included with the Harp Forte.

About Kromski & Sons

Leon Kromski began a wood turning business in 1918 and operated it until 1939 when the impact of WWII and Communism made it impossible to continue. Today the family business is continued by Leon’s sons: Wojciech & Daniel Kromski. Their principal products are spinning wheels – now numbering 7 very distinct and well engineered models, and in 2001, Kromski developed and launched the very popular rigid heddle loom, the Kromski Harp, followed shortly by the Presto. Kromski also manufactures accessories for spinning and weaving, such as spinning stools, niddy noddies, and shuttles.

Just LOVE it!

I looked at many different manufacturers of rigid heddle looms and without a doubt Kromski provided me the best match. I splurged and got the Walnut stained option and am so glad that I did. I just love how gorgeous it is. Other manufacturers didn’t seem to take the time to even provide any options for such a beauty. If dark wood is not your preference, the non-Walnut / natural one is pretty nice too. No additional products need to be purchased to “finish” the wood. I first used their 18” loom natural one, and found their metal ratcheted gears pretty solid and precise (eg really locks in place and I had peace of mind—no fear of future plastic wearing down or splitting). I purchased their largest one to provide me increased flexibility on what I could make—from scarves, to placemats, to larger items like bathroom mats or art work for the wall. Even better, it comes with a double heddle block/holder so you can buy an additional heddle to even provide you more weaving options. They also have a “make your own” heddle so you can build heddles with different dents. I saw this after I purchased my loom and extra heddles, otherwise I probably would have explored that heddle option instead of buying extra heddles to support future double heddle and larger warp yarn projects (eg I got 2 smaller dent heddles too). What made it even more awesome was that it folds for transport where you can leave your project as is, reduce the tension, fold it, and then open it back up once you get to your destination. Love the design since in each “mode” (eg whether it is folded or not folded) it locks into place. Finally, if its beauty, quality, flexibility and transportability hasn’t convinced you yet, do it for the increased creativity and fun it will add into your life. You deserve it! An additional note: this was part of my first purchase with Revolution Fibers. They were very helpful and super responsive. I feel like it is my first of many more orders. It feels so great to have found a company which places Customer Service as their priority. They are fabulous to work with. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions!
