When to choose a solid color yarn
A solid-color yarn holds one dye lot's worth of even color from cast-on to bind-off, which matters most exactly where a variegated or self-striping yarn would fight you — cabled and textured stitches, colorwork backgrounds, and garment pieces you need to match across multiple skeins.
This collection spans the full weight and fiber range: 100% wool lines like Nature Spun and Lanaloft in fingering through bulky, Brown Sheep's wool-mohair Lamb's Pride, superwash merino from Malabrigo for machine-washable projects, plant fibers including Bockens and Lofty cottons and Euroflax linen for warm-weather knits and weaving warp, and worsted-spun silk and silk-blend lace weights for drape and sheen.
Cone put-ups from Bockens, Euroflax, and our own Zephira line are sold by the pound and suit weaving warp or production runs; skein put-ups suit garment and accessory knitting. Filter by weight, then by fiber, to find a specific yardage match or a dye-lot-consistent sweater quantity.
