Compact Footprint, Studio‑Class Performance. Don’t let its modest size fool you: the David III is a precision 8‑shaft floor loom engineered in the Netherlands for remarkably light treadling, near‑silent operation, and rock‑solid stability. If you need a space‑friendly loom that can still tackle complex drafts, dense fabrics, or double‑width blankets, David III delivers.

New to David III? Watch the two quick clips in our photo carousel: one shows the loom going together (castle ships pre‑assembled), the other walks through a simple harness adjustment that restores a full 6 cm shed when warp tension is high.

Weave More, Strain Less—Stand-Out David III Advantages

  • Sinking‑shed jack action = feather‑light treadling. Gravity drops only the selected shafts; cams flatten at the bottom of the stroke, so your leg weight keeps the shed open with minimal effort.
  • Huge, balanced shed (~5–6 cm). Equal tension on upper and lower layers gives a perfectly flat fell line and tidy selvages.
  • Whisper‑quiet weaving. Texsolv heddles and a rigid beech frame cut clatter dramatically compared with metal‑heddle looms.
  • Quick, tool‑free tie‑ups. Permanent Texsolv cords hook onto treadle screw heads—no crawling under the loom with a wrench.
  • Built‑in raddle & folding back beam. Spread your warp, beam back‑to‑front, then swing the warp beam inward when the loom is not in use.
