A quick guide to spinning fiber
Merino is fine and soft for next-to-skin yarn. Polwarth, Rambouillet, and Targhee are soft, springy, and a bit easier to draft. Corriedale and Cheviot are medium wools, forgiving to learn on. Silk and bamboo add shine, and nylon adds strength for socks.
