Wool Roving

Wool roving tops, also called spinning fiber or "wool top" are wool, or other fibers, that have been cleaned and sorted by length. The longest fibers are then combed parallel and carded smooth into a continuous length resulting in the wool roving tops you see below. This preparation is ideal for use by crafters and fiber artists for hand spinning into yarn and is the primary material used in wet and needle felting projects.
